Ninkasi Brewing Co.: Total Domination IPA

Total Domination IPA
Ninkasi Brewing Co.
272 Van Buren Street
Eugene, OR

Aroma: (10/12)
A nice earthy hop aroma. It isn't strong, pungent or over-powering at all; quite mellow, actually. Some hints of floral and citrus meld in as well...
Appearance: (3/3)
A beautiful gold / light copper color that is very typical of this style. Head is very healthy and fluffy. It sticks around extremely well and laces quite well, too.
Flavor: (17/20)
The flavor is very very nice. Nice and citrusy - it reminds me of a perfect summery, sunshined-filled day. The aroma is a mellowed version of the flavor. Quite flavorful and not overly in your face at all.
Mouthfeel: (4/5)
This beer isn't extremely crisp and clean, there are some malts here that increase the body nicely, but don't allow for that crispness in the flavor. Still very enjoyable, though.
Overall Impression: (8.5/10)
A very nice offering from Ninkasi. This IPA is extremely drinkable and not too hoppy. Although it isn't crisp, the flavor and aroma make this beer one to look for, if available in your area!
TOTAL: 42.5/50
