Summit Brewing Co.: Belgian Style Golden Ale

Belgian Style Golden Ale
Summit Brewing Co.
910 Montreal Circle
St. Paul, MN

Aroma: (9/12)
Very slight orange this is complimented by the apparent malt, on the nose.
Appearance: (3/3)
The Golden Ale is very clear and has a perfect golden hue for this style. Very effervescent, with racing bubbles. Small and uniform bubbles.
Flavor: (16/20)
Big and malty as one would expect from a beer this style and ABV. Bold malt, but light enough not to do all the talking. I do get a fair amount of heat mid-tongue and afterwards.
Mouthfeel: (4/5)
Body is nice, medium and light. Alcohol does bite, middle through the end.
Overall Impression: (8/10)
The Golden Ale is a very clean and well-made beer. It is a bold move for Summit, which I appreciate. Definitely a sipper. I would only order on per sitting. To style, but not unique enough to purchase again!
TOTAL: 40/50
